A rare football extravaganza is scheduled for Mandava Stadium today with the Chibuku Super Cup double header expected to light up the stage of this season’s campaign.
Four teams will descend in the mining town of Zvishavane to play in the preliminary round of the cup.
Yadah who are debutants in the tournament, will play against Hwange at 1 pm in the opening encounter which will set the pace at Mandava. Both teams have been in fine form with Chipangano finding their magic since Bigboy Mawiwi took over.
On the other hand the Harare side have shown great character in their recent league games, managing three wins in their last four games.
The only head to head encounter between the two teams was played in June and it ended in a 2-2 draw.
Rounding up the action, will be a clash between Bantu Rovers and Tsholotsho at 3pm. Iziqholo Zezhwane are having a bad time in the league. However they will be hoping to win their third match of the season in all competions when they play against an equally troubled Rovers.
Only two teams will advance to the first round. The winners between Bantu and Tsholotsho will play against How Mine while winners in another game will clash with Chicken Inn.
The teams were drawn on Wednesday with four bottom teams at the half way mark of the season selected to start their campaign in the in the preliminary round.
