Group A at the 2017 COSAFA Women’s Cnampionship has gotten quite competitive after the second matchday.
Zimbabwe and Zambia, which each won their first games, played to a 1-1 draw to each sit with four points at the top of the table. Zimbabwe currently leads with plus-four goal differential.
Rutendo Makore was the hero as her second half goal cancelled Banda’s 26th minute opener.
However, the big story was the second match, which featured a 6-3 win by Malawi who dispatched Madagascar virtually eliminating the former in the competition.
This will put Malawi three points with everythimg to play for in the last match against Zimbabwe.
