Reigning champions CAPS United had another frustrating afternoon when they drew 1-1 against Bulawayo City at Hartsfield.
The hosts went in to the lead through Ishmeal Wadi on the 31st minute mark before John Zhuwawo’ strike cancelled out the lead two minutes into the second half.
Makepekepe started of the with great interplays but it was Moses Muchenje who received the first caution of the game with only six minutes played.
With Amakhosi now settled Wadi nodded home a beautiful cross from Sipho Ndlovu from the right and goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda had no chance.
However, the Green Machine regrouped themselves in the second half and they equalized when Zhuwawo headed home a cross from Phineas Bamusi.
There was a twist of things when Bulawayo City were reduced to ten men after Morris Kadzola was red carded for a second bookable offence. The visitors started dominating position courtesy of a numerical advantage.
The scoreline, however remained unchanged at the end of the match giving Amakhosi a much needed point to stay on tenth position, one point above CAPS.
