Kuda Mahachi got on the scoresheet but it was not enough for Golden Arrows as they suffered a 4-3 penalty shootout loss to Bidvest Wits in an MTN 8 Quarter final match.
Arrows gave away a 2 nil lead with goals from Lerato Lamola’s opening goal in the 11th minute and Kuda Mahachi’s strike in the 23rd minute.
The league Champions came back with two goals in a fiesty second half levelling the matters thus taking the match to extra time and subsequently penalties.
Teammate Danny Phiri was unfortunate as a second booking meant he was sent off in the ill fated match thats saw two red cards for Arrows and one for Bidvest wits. Both teams’ coaches were sent away into the crowd for verbal abuse.
Striker Knox Mutizwa was introduced during the extra time as Arrows sought a late charge but it could not be as they succumbed to a penalty shootout defeat.
