Dynamos stayed in touch with leading pack when they beat Hwange 2-0 at the National Sports Stadium this evening.
Dynamos suffered an early setback when Cleopas Kapupurika suffered what looked like serious injury after Melvin Mukiwa made a reckless lunge on him with only five minutes played.
Nekiwe was sent off after being handed a straight red card while Kapupurika was was ferried off to the hospital by ambulance.
Dynamos took full advantage of the extra man and dominated the first half. In the 34th minute Gerald Ndlovu scored into his own net in an attempt to clear a Chipunza cross.
Ocean Mushure almost doubled the lead minutes later with a shot from outside the box but his effort went inches off the upright.
In the 56th minute Mushure did get himself on the score-sheet for the second successive game when he headed home Denver Mukamba’s cross.
Dynamos could have added more goals with more clinical finishing but had already done enough to clinch another set of maximum points to take them 3rd on the table.
