Highlanders have been dogged by injuries with some of the regular players completely ruled out of Sunday’s Matchday 20 of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Head coach Erol Akbay has been thrown off balance due to an unprecedented amount of injuries that may leave him with seriousy limited options in today’s crucial encounter against Harare City at Barbourfields Stadium.
Bosso have also lost strikers Prince Dube and Rodreck Mutuma to other teams in mid season and could only search in their junior ranks to find Ray Lunga, the son of former Bosso striker Gift Lunga (senior). Ray was introduced as a substitute in last weekend’s 2 nil win over Shabanie Mine.
The team’s star player and veteran Rahman Kutsanzira has a nagging knee injury which kept him has kept him on and off the pitch. Kutsanzira has been rulled out of Sunday match together with chief striker Ralph Matema.
The youthful Ray will also have to pass a late fitness test with an injury scare.
Regulars like Ariel Sibanda, Peter Muduhwa, Brian Banda, King Nadolo, Godfrey Makaruse and Erick Mudzingwa will however be available for selection.
