The Zimbabwe national team went down 1-0 away to Namibia in a second round CHAN qualifier at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek this afternoon.
The Warriors started positively creating good chances in the first half causing problems for the Namibian defence.
The Halftime break came with score line still goalless. In the 53rd minute Namibia took the lead with Hendrik Somaeb on target.
The Warriors pressed for an equaliser but the home side did well to defend and hold onto the lead to clinch what could be a key win.
The Brave Warriors now have an edge over the Warriors heading into the second leg set for Harare next week.
The winner over the two legs proceeds to the final round of qualifiers to meet either Comoros or Lesotho. Comoros handed Lesotho a 2-0 defeat on Saturday.
