CAPS United captain Dennis Dauda may have played his last game for the ‘Green Machine’ after infuriating the club leadership with a controversial social media post just hours before their 2-0 loss to Yadah.
Dauda admitted he was torn between CAPS United and pleasing his ‘father’ presumably Prophet Walter Magaya who owns Yadah ahead of the game. The post which went viral has drawn wide spread criticism from the CAPS United family.
In addition the former Player of the Year had allegedly threatened the club management that the team would not fulfil their fixture against Yadah unless their outstanding monies are paid before the game.
CAPS United CEO Cuthbert Chitima indicated Dauda’s time at the club was over and he could move to another club.
“CAPS United wishes to inform the football fraternity that Dennis Dauda has been transfer listed and, given he is till contracted to us, anyone who wishes to engage him can come and negotiate with us so that we clear him to play for them,” Chitima told the Herald.
“As CAPS United, we owe it to our huge family to behave in a certain way that doesn’t compromise our professional standing and we owe it to the fans, who support us all the time, to always ensure that we do all our best to try and win every game we play.
“Unfortunately , Daude recent actions and what he has been posting on social media don’t fit the kind of professional that we want in our stable and that is why we have decided to end our relationship with him.”
