Dynamos launch official website

Former premier league champions Dynamos this afternoon launched their first official website and android mobile app.

The event, which took place in the capital, was graced by representatives from the Ministry of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier services, Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) and Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Speaking at the launch, Dynamos executive chairman, Kenny Mubaiwa, said the long time coming website is vital in creating space for interaction among supporters, sponsors and the club.

“In this modern world there is need for every reputable organisation to have some kind of online presence. Having a website means our supporters will are always able to access team information anytime, anywhere.

“It offers the user convenience as they can access the information they need from the comfort of their home with no added pressure,” he said.

“At it’s simplest, this website provides a quick and easy way of communicating information between the team and the supporters. The club’s contact information, team images and products and contact forms to facilitate enquiries and  feedback will all be accessible.

“Websites in general are great ways in providing the platform where potential sponsors can be referred to as well as enjoy advertising space. It shows that our club is about what it has achieved and what it can achieve in future.”

Mubaiwa said the unveiling of the mobile app was a game changer in a world were mobile presence was dominant.

“. . . since there are about 2.6 billion people with high powered mobile devices within arm’s reach at all times, the true game changer in creating an interface between the club and supporters, is the mobile applications.

“As Dynamos football club, through solid mobile presence, we always know we are presenting to our loyal supporters . . . an interface geared specifically to provide them with the best experience,” he said.

The website, which is accessible on www.dynamosfc.co.zw, among other functions provides supporters the ability to vote for their player of the month. Supporters will also be able to buy the club’s official merchandise online.

The android mobile app, called Dynamosfc app, is meant to give the fans an interacting platform among themselves while the club receives the feedback. Through the app, Dynamos hopes to have their supporters sharing information about team’s related activities as opposed to the regular social media groups such as on whatsapp.

The App also offers the Dynamos faithful the opportunity to vote for fan of the month.

Dynamos have also introduced an Ecocach Biller Code for the purposes of allowing for outsiders who would wish to officially contribute to the club’s coffers. The Biller Code, which is 50640, will also see the club get rid of what they said are bogus mobile money transfer platforms created by individuals masquerading as the club whom the club said were duping supporters of their monies.
