Zimbabwean international and Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro has been overtaken on the ABSA Premiership goal scoring charts by Cape Town City’s Lebogang Manyama.
Manyama has threatened to overtake Ndoro after the Orlando Pirates striker hit a dry spell having started the season in terrific form.
Manyama netted his 13 goal of the season as Cape Town City suffered a big blow in the title race by losing 4-2 to Supersport United on Tuesday.
Orlando Pirates head coach Kjell Jonevret admitted recently that Ndoro was struggling with confidence.
“He [Ndoro] is a little bit down but in training he is always good in and around the box, but right now it is like he is not getting into the position where he can score said Jonevret.
“But when you have a player like this we should work with him because we know he is a good striker he added
Ndoro could have the chance to add to his season tally of 12 goals later this evening when Pirates take on Bloemfontein Celtic.
