FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza says he is happy with the depth in his side. Mapeza threw in fringe players in his side’s one nil win against Caps United in the Independence Cup third and fourth place playoffs at Barbourfields Stadium on Tuesday.
“The Independence Cup Trophy gave a us a massive opportunity to have a look at the other players in the team and I am happy to say most of the guys acquitted themselves well.
“The positive is that we have a big squad to choose from,” said Mapeza.
The platinum miners play their third match within seven days when they face Bulawayo City at Barbourfields Stadium on Saturday.
Mapeza is wary of the Bulawayo City fathers. “Bulawayo City is a good side and they are playing very well if you consider their positive results.
“We are aware of this fact but we are going there with a positive mindset and we hope to come out with a positive result,” added Mapeza.
FC Platinum have not dropped points in their opening two games while Bulawayo City has won two out of the three matches it has played so far.
