The top flight league has reduced gate charges for the popular rest of the ground from $3 to $2.
Kennedy Ndebele, the PSL chief executive officer said yesterday: “We debated the issue of gate charge reduction. We settled for a minimum of $2, which is optional although $3 remains the standard figure. So whoever wants to reduce gate charges is free to do so as long as the league is informed,” Ndebele said as quoted by The Standard.
The move is seen as a way to woo fans back to matches who have been shunning league games recently.
A paltry 22 000 fans paid to watch the opening 9 matches of the 2017 league season.
