Premier Soccer League returnees Bantu Rovers say they are not in a hurry to find a substantive head coach. Club president Methembe Ndlovu’s is the club’s interim head coach.
Speaking at the club press conference on Thursday club general manager Wilbert Sibanda said, “According to Zifa’s requirements, Ndlovu is the right man for the job.However, are still fighting to get his assistant.
“Maybe in the long run we get the head coach and Ndlovu who has other pressing commitments will remain our technical director.
Ndlovu added that in the hiring of the head coach they are looking for “unique skill set, because to us it is more than wins and losses.
“We need to nurture students athletes. The former Highlanders coach also noted that their presence in the league means that they want to test themselves and they want to stay in the topflight league.
Last Saturday Bantu Rovers were clobbered 5-0 by former champions Chicken Inn. Tomorrow Rovers have another tricky match as they meet FC Platinum at Maglas Stadium in Zvishavane.
