Shabanie head coach Wilson Mutekede says he is pleased with the performance against defending league champions CAPS United at Maglas Stadium on Sunday.
Shabanie gave a good account of themselves by holding Lloyd Chitembwe’s side to a goalless draw and could have even clinched the match if they had taken the chances that came their way.
“It was a good game ,we prepared well for it said Mutekede. “We are happy that the boys came out and they wanted to compete ,playing against CAPS United was an obvious motivation to try and do well.
“We are happy we got a good result and we could have wrapped it up we had our chances but that is the game of football.
“We expected to make it very difficult for them , I think they also knew it was not going to be an easy game.
With a full house witnessing the match ,Mutekede praised Shabanie fans for coming out in their numbers.
“It was good having the 12th man , our fans have been missing Premier League football and it’s good we are back in the Premiership added Mutekede.
