Zimbabwean duo of Kingston Nkhatha and Onismor Basera are on the brink of History as SuperSport United can set a new record against Baroka this weekend as the longest unbeaten run in the ABSA Premier Soccer League if they avoid being beaten.
SuperSport United find themselves in a rich vein of form at present, with Stuart Baxter’s side having been in 19 match unbeaten run equaling the record at Kaizer Chiefs which was incidentally set by Baxter during the 2014/15 season that led to Amakhosi title triumph.
The club’s current unbeaten run is the longest they have gone in the Absa Premiership without defeat since they did 17 back in 2009 – when they won the league – and Baxter will be happy with how his side is performing so far this season.
SuperSport face bottom placed Baroka United this weekend as they look to make it 20 games without tasting defeat and try to retain their place at the summit of the league for at least a little while longer.
