Dynamos captain, Ocean Mushure, has said that Zvishavane based team FC Platinum should not be a difficult team ahead of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League opener in Harare on Sunday.
The former premier league champions face an explosive test when they face one of the premier league heavy weights in the season opener.
Dynamos finished fifth while FC Platinum finished second in the 2016 season.
“It’s not a difficult start, it’s just the first game and Dynamos are not a small team. People cannot say it’s a difficult game or that we can fail to perform. We are still undergoing preparations but players are gelling, even in terms of fitness people are now okay,” Mushure told journalists.
The captain also said that the team is ready to face the premier league this season and are raring to put behind a difficult season.
He said all the Dynamos players, including new signings – Cameroonian striker, Christian Ntouba and fellow forward, Quality Kangazi, whom the club signed from Trojan Mine in the just ended transfer window – are raring to go and are gelling together with their teammates.
“They [Ntouba and Kangazi] are now okay. Even the friendly matches they have played they performed well. That’s why we played a number of friendly matches so that players get used to each other and also get game time.
“Right now everyone is ready and we are expecting to finish on top of the league since it’s now two years without winning the league, we want to win the league,” he said.
Mushure also called upon Dynamos fans to rally behind the team as their support always plays a big part in their performances.
“I want to say to Dynamos fans if they come in their numbers all things are possible.
“We want the fans to come in numbers because football requires support so that all is well. We also ask them to be patient with the youngsters (players). Sometimes they can make errors but they need the patience of the fans,” he said.
