Knowledge Musona’s KV Oostende secured a spot in the Championship round with a 2-2 draw against Standard Liege over the weekend and will now have to compete for European Cup Competitions spot.

With the Belgian League ending just last weekend after all teams completed their set of 30 games, the top half teams will compete for 2 Champions League spots whilst the bottom placed teams will fight for one EUROPA League spot.

Musona who featured predominately for KV Oostende helping the club finish 5th. He scored 9 goals in 18 appearances and is the club’s second highest league scorer .He will be expected to play a pivotal role for his side.

The point system in the championship playoff is the same as during the regular season, except that each team starts with half of the points they won in the regular season, rounded up to the nearest integer. The points gained by rounding are deducted in the case of a tie.

The top 6 teams from the regular season enter the championship playoff, with the first-placed team winning the championship of Belgium. Each team plays their opponents twice, and the teams are ranked by points, points from rounding, wins, etc. as in the regular season.

Meanwhile, Musona will get a chance to get his hands on Silverware this weekend as KV Oostende look to try and lift the Beker van Belgie trophy in the final.
