CAPS United will have to do without star midfielder Ronald Chitiyo for the first round second leg fixture of the CAF Champions league against TP Mazembe this weekend.
Chitiyo received a second yellow card on Sunday, meaning he will miss the crunch tie after initially having been cautioned against Lesotho side Lioli.
According to CAF rules, a player who receives two cautions shall be automatically be suspended from playing the subsequent match in the CAF inter-clubs competitions.
The development will likely be a setback for Lloyd Chitembwe’s side, who are 90 minutes from the money spinning group stages of the competition.
Chitiyo played a big part in CAPS United’s 1-1 draw with TP Mazembe when he went on the run before laying off the ball for Abbsa Amidu to score the opener against the five time African champions.
