Goalkeeper, Edmore Sibanda, was the key man for CAPS United as he made several good saves to keep his side in the tie.
Speaking after the match, Chitembwe told The Herald: “Now we have given ourselves a chance to achieve something big.
“It’s not over yet but we know what is expected of us when we play at home.”
The return leg is set for this weekend at the National Sports Stadium in Harare and another positive result would see CAPS United sail through to the money spinning group stages of the CAF Champions League.
Qualification into the group stages will see CAPS United get a whopping $550 000, five times more than the amount received for winning the Premier Soccer League.
