Highlanders head coach Erol Akbay is pleased with the signing’s they have completed in the off season and says the club is done with their transfer business.
Highlanders added Tambwe Kalunga and Manuel Esono Obiang Buale this week to further strengthen their attack line which already has another new signing in Rodreck Mutuma.
Speaking about the new acquisitions Akbay expressed his delight in the depth the club now have, ‘Every position now has two players which is good for the team.
‘This means more pressure for everybody as all the players will give their best so that they are given an opportunity to play.
Highlanders finished in 3rd position is Akbay’s first season in charge and are keen to do even better in the upcoming season according to the Dutchman but a top 4 finish remains the first priority.
Highlanders fans will get a chance to see their new signings in action this weekend when they face Zambian side Power Dynamos in a friendly at Barbourfields stadium on Sunday.
Power Dynamos will play Chicken Inn today, before playing Highlanders on Sunday and then Bantu Rovers on Tuesday.
