The return leg is set for the National Sports Stadium next weekend. If CAPS United proceed DRC side TP Mazembe await in the next round of the preliminary stages of the tournament.
CAPS United also needed to make changes to their starting lineup just before the game with both Ngodzo and Nyamupfukudza unavailable after errors were made on their date’s of birth registration forms.
CAPS United CEO Cuthbert Chitima said CAF made an error on Ngodzo’s documentation while for Nyamupfukudza the club was to blame for the mistake but expressed confidence the situation will be resolved before the 2nd leg.
