The Confedertion of African Football (CAF) together with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) have issued a formal apology after failure to produce National Anthems for the Burkina Faso-Cameroon Group A tie.
After both teams had completed the formalities of entering the Stadium, the time of pride for the teams to hear their National Anthems never came. After having waited for a while the players with the hep of their fans ended up singing on their own without any help from a play back.
In their apology CAF alluded the glitch on day 1 to a to a sound system failure which caused the technical incident.
“The Confédération Africaine de Football and the Local Organizing Committee of the Total Africa Cup of Nations Gabon 2017, apologize to the teams, officials, supporters and viewers for the unfortunate incident.”
