Warriors skipper Willard Kastande says they don’t mind carrying the uinder do tag and if confident they will pull of some upsets at AFCON 2017.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Zimbabwe’s opener against Algeria tomorrow Kastande said, ‘We will take the underdog tag in the group due to our FIFA ranking but at the same time but we are not afraid to go and battle these big teams in Africa.
‘It goes down to the match day how we will unleash our game plan .
‘We were motivated heading into the friendly against Cameroon knowing that these teams are beatable , we watched South Africa playing Cameroon and Senegal and it gave us the extra confidence we needed.
‘We know their strengths and weakness and we wait for the game where we can showcase everything added Katsande.
Tomorrow’s game will be 11 against 11 . ‘We will give them the respect they deserve but we are united as Zimbabweans and we know what we want . We will go tomorrow and thrive on hard work and do it for our country.
‘Nobody knows much about our team. What I can tell your is our team is young and energetic and we are capable of upsetting any team that comes our way ,that’ s all I can say for now. You can see them tomorrow!
