ZIFA President Philip Chiyangwa has revealed his ambition to lead the Cosafa region after being nominated in the upcoming regional elections.
Chiyangwa has been in charge of ZIFA for just over a year and although the reign has been full of controversy the businessman cum politician want to go a notch higher.
Chiyangwa confirmed his participation the Chronicle Newspaper saying, “ I have entered the race and I am confident of landing post.
The elections are set to be held on the 17th of December.
Chiyangwa is set to contest against South Africa’s Danny Jordaan,Frans Mbidi of Namibia, Mohammed Sobha of Mauritius, Pedro Neto of Angola, and Mozambique’s Alberto Junior to succeed long serving President, Suketu Patel from Seychelles.
