Highlanders are set to host an awards ceremony this evening to reward their players that excelled during the season and have served well at the club.
Highlanders are currently celebrating 90 years of existence and the awards ceremony are part of commemorating the achievement.
Highlanders legends, former officials and a number of football stakeholders are all expected to grace the event that will take place at the Bulawayo Polytechnic Tourism School.
The club was hoping to have arguably two of their biggest players in Bruce Grobbelaar and Peter Ndlovu present but chances are very slim either player will make it.
Ndlovu is with Mamelodi Sundowns at the FIFA World Club Cup while as of yesterday Grobbelaar was yet to respond to the invitation.
A number of awards are up for grabs including the Player of the Season, Players Player of the Season, Most consistent Players ; Most Consistent Player and other awards.
The celebrations will not end there with Sunday seeing Highlanders clash with great rivals Dynamos at Barbourfields Stadium.
