The Young Warriors had a terrible start to the Cosafa U-20 Championships after being hammered by Zambia 5-1 this afternoon.
The Young Warriors initially dominated proceeding but lacked in the final third. Eventually Zambia grew more into the game and increased the pressure.
In the 40th minute Parston Daka opened the scoring after Zimbabwe lost the ball in midfield and a fine pass set him through on goal before he finished well.
Zimbabwe continued to struggle defensively from there and minutes later an unmarked Edward Chilufya added a second with a header.
Zambia added three more goals in the second half to add more misery on Zimbabwe who could only get a consolation through the penalty spot through Bukhosi Ncube.
