Zimbabwe is one the most successful team’s in regional tournament but last won it in 2007. Malawi are the other team in the Group, only the Group winners qualify to the next round.
However with a talented squad Mandla Mpofu’s side are fancying their chances this year in South Africa. Highlanders striker Prince Dube could be a key asset after an impressive debut season in the ZPSL that eventually saw him win the Promising Player of Season award.
The tournament has over the year provided a good platform for players to impress clubs in particular ABSA Premiership sides which is likely to add even motivation to the Young Warriors.
