Nigeria registered a key win in Group B by beating Algeria 3-1 to maintain they hopes of 2018 World Cup qualification.
Chelsea striker Victor Moses scored a brace while John Obi Mikel was also on target. Nabil Bentalab pulled one back for Algeria but Nigeria were not to be denied a second consecutive win in the group.
Nigeria now has a four point lead at the top of Group B with Cameroon in second spot with two points.
In Cameroon, “The Indomitable Lions” played out a 1-1 draw with Zambia. Collins Mbesuma gave Zambia the lead but Cameroon equalised though via a penalty earned and taken by Vincent Aboubakar.
