Burnley defender Tendayi Darikwa has cited a lack of professionalism as the reason he will not feature in the international friendly against Tanzania this weekend
Darikwa was called up for the Warriors squad to face Tanzania this coming weekend together with Colchester United striker McCauley Bonne.
However with both players still holding British Passports there is a need to sort out documentation with the Registrar General before being able to play for the Warriors.
Darikwa sounded frustrated taking to Twitter and saying:
“Yes, I received a call-up to the Zimbabwe national team, but due to lack of professionalism from certain people, I will not be there.
The tweet was later taken down.
Callisto Pasuwa is still eager to have the two players available in the near future. “We really needed them here but it seems they still have some complications with their identification documents, which are currently being sorted out he said.
“We are looking forward to having them join the team in future assignments,” added Pasuwa.
