Ahead of tomorrow’s (Wednesday 19 August) AFCON 2017 draw Warriors skipper Willard Katsande says Zimbabwe will not be at the tournament just to make up the numbers.

The Warriors finished as Group L winners to secure a third AFCON appearance and Katsande is confident they could pull off some upsets along the way.

I’m sure most of the teams would want Zimbabwe in their group because they think we are light weights Katsande is quoted saying by the Dailynews.

“That is the same mistake Guinea made during the qualifiers as they thought since they got Zimbabwe, Swaziland and Malawi ,it would be easy.

“We are not going there to add numbers and we will not be pushovers added Katsande. Katsande also called on ZIFA to organise friendlies in time to prepare for the continental showcase.

Zimbabwe is in Pot 4 with Uganda, Togo and Guinea Bissau.
