Highlanders are in a confident mood ahead of their tricky match against Chapungu at Ascot Stadium this afternoon.
Highlanders are on an impressive five match winning streak in the league and still very much in the title race together with FC Platinum and CAPS United.
However Ascot stadium has been a tough place for Highlanders to get results from with Bosso yet to beat Chapungu since their return to the top flight.
Speaking ahead of the game Erol Akbay said, “The boys have been enjoying training and cannot wait for Saturday (today). The top two sides (FC Platinum and CAPS) have also been dropping points, it means for us we are still in the race.
Akbay emphasized his side could not afford to drop too many points anymore as that could hand the advantage to the current top two FC Platinum and Highlanders.
With the initial target of a top finish almost certain the Dutchman is pleased with what has been achieved this season and said everything the get from now would be a bonus
Technical director Cosmas Zulu said the goal was to win some silverware this season for their fans. We just want to work hard to win to please Highlanders supporters said Zulu. Highlanders are in the semi-finals of the Chibuku Super Cup.
The clash the two teams had earlier in the week over using Ascot Stadium for training is likely to add more spark to the match.
