Chapungu coach, John Nyikadzino said his side will not be doing any of the title chasing sides any favours when his charges meets the teams in the Castle Lager premiership.
The airmen can turn out to be the side to decide the destiny of the league title as they are still to face log leaders FC Platinum, second placed Caps United and Highlanders the three teams which are in the running for the championship.
Nyikadzino said he is not interested about anything to do with the title race rather his mission is to ensure that the airmen are among the top eight.
“We have our objective as a club which is to be in the top eight at the end of the season and for us to achieve that objective then we will need to beat the teams in the title race,” Nyikadzino told Soccer24.
“We don’t have anything to do with the title and we will not do anyone any favours. What is good for us is that we do not easily crumble at Ascot,” added Nyikadzino.
Interestingly, FC Platinum, Caps United and Bosso will face Chapungu at Ascot where all the three clubs are yet to register a win at the venue since Chapungu bounced back into the elite league three seasons ago.
Caps United has lost all its games at Ascot against “Waru Waru” while the best Highlanders and FC Platinum have come out with at Ascot is adraw.
Chapungu will also face Hwange and relegation haunted Hwange away from home.
