Highlanders have announced the passing away of club president Jonathan Mhlanga. Mhlanga was 81 at the time of his death after an illness.

A statement from the club read:

 Bosso President who was 81 died today at Premier Hospital in Hillside this afternoon. He had been ill for some time now. Highlanders Football Club as a whole is pained by such a big loss. May his soul rest in peace.
