Erol Akbay says Highlanders winning against How Mine was the most important thing rather than playing good football.

The result saw Highlanders end a six match winless streak. Stand in Bosso captain Eric Mudzingwa scored the opener in the 33rd minute from the penalty spot.

Impressive new signing Allen Gahadzikwa had been brought down inside the box by How Mine defender Kudzai Chideu and referee of the day Nkosana Nduna rightly pointed to the spot.

At the death of the first half Gahadzikwa made it two for Bosso with a beautiful header that beat Donovan Bernard, in goals for the miners, all systems out.

Gahadzikwa capitalised on a Tendai Ndlovu feed after Bosso were awarded a free kick outside the box that was invitingly delivered by in form Rahman Kutsanzira.

The second half temporarily belonged to How Mine with Pasca Manhanga and Milton Ncube dictating the pace in the middle of the park.

However, it was when the miners lost Chideu(injury) and Timothy January that they struggled to chase the game.

January was introduced as a second half substitute in the 56th minute and he was sent off in the 63rd minute after he used abusive language on Mudzingwa.

Moments later Bosso assistant coach Amini Soma Phiri was sent to the terraces after telling the referee off in protest of a touch line foul.
