Maritzburg striker Evans Rusike says he is happy at the club and looking forward to the upcoming ABSA Premiership season.
Rusike had a good season for Maritzburg United and played a key role as they survived relegation.
His performances saw him attract the attention of Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns but Maritzburg refused to chase entertain any offers and were determined to keep Rusike a decision the Zimbabwean international respects.
“I’m happy at Maritzburg and not to leave didn’t disturb me,” Rusike told Kickoff.com
“I still have a contract with Maritzburg and if I was going to leave, it was going to be Maritzburg’s decision.”
Maritzburg United kick off their season with a clash against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday.
