All four Castle Lager Premiership Saturday matches ended as goalless draws as ZPSL strikers continued to struggle in front of goal.
At the National Sports stadium the top of the table clash between CAPS United and FC Platinum failed to really spark with both teams failing to convert their chances.
FC Platinum dominated proceeding for much of the first half but action continued from one end to another. The second half belonged to CAPS United who really should have taken the lead in the 49th minute through veteran striker Leonard Tsipa.
Tsipa with a yawning goal mouth at his mercy only manage to hit the crossbar to blow the best chance of the game.
Minutes later Simba Nhivi failed to get to the end of Hardlife Zvirekwi’s good cross as CAPS continued to press.
At the other end FC Platinum tried in vain to catch CAPS on the break with Marshall Mudehwe’s pace causing some problems.
The result sees the point difference between the two side remain at two points and with FC Platinum assured of finishing Week 18 of the Zpsl on top of the log standings.
