Log leaders FC Platinum and second placed CAPS United are both in action this afternoon as the Castle Lager Premiership enters Week 17.
FC Platinum edged Bulawayo City at the weekend to move four points clear and will be looking to maintain the grip at the top when they host Hwange at Mandava Stadium.
Norman Mapeza has indicated it’s too early to be talking about the league title but another win could see FC Platinum strengthen the “league title favourites tag”.
CAPS United will be out to maintain the pressure on FC Platinum with when they play Tsholotsho away at Luveve Stadium. CAPS United are still fresh from the weekend win over Highlanders. However the win could have come at a cost with Ronald Pfumbidzai ruled out with an injury while the impressive Tafadzwa Rusike is doubtful and is expected to undergo a late fitness test.
Tsholotsho’s main objective this season is survival once again and after losing key players during the transfer window including club captain William Stima things will be tougher for” Iziqholo zeZhwane”.
Tonderai Ndiraya’s Ngezi Platinum are likely to face a good test against Chicken Inn at Baobab Stadium.Ngezi Platinum are yet to lose since Ndiraya took over and are on a six match unbeaten run.
At Rufaro Stadium Sunday Chidzamabwa’s Harare City will want to avenge the 1-0 loss to ZPC Kariba suffered two weeks ago.
