Highlanders head coach Erol Akbay will leave his assistants Cosmas Zulu and Amini Soma Phiri in charge of the ZNA Charity Shield.
According to Highlanders CEO Ndumiso Gumede Akbay will be allowed to go to the Netherlands during the PSL mid-season break between the 18th and 29th of July.
Highlanders will take on Harare City in the ZNA Charities Shield final on the 24 of July. “We had already promised Mr Akbay that during the pre-season break he could take the time and be with his family.
“As many as our supporters would know he left his family in Holland and his been away since February till now. It’s only fair for him to go and appraise them of his stay here added Gumede.
Akbay has made a commendable start a Bosso coach with the club currently sitting on top of the log standings after 12 games.
