If you are a Bosso fan you have every right to believe your team is on course for a league title. Why not when all Jinx are breaking.
Walking in the streets of Bulawayo CBD every soccer loving fan in Zimbabwe will not miss the passion Highlanders fans have over their team. Fans brave the cold weather with so much love and passion – who will think of the cash crisis in Zimbabwe? Highlanders team has made their fans believe again!
Highlanders coach Erol Akbay is just one shrewd tactician who is difficult to hate. Hate him or love him the Dutch tactician has brought massive change in the Bosso dressing room, having instilled a winning mentality for his players. And off-course he remains cool all the time.
This year alone in his maiden ZPSL season, Akbay has at the helm of Highlanders broken jinxes that were hovering the team’s success. One against bitter and fiercest rival’s 10 year winless streak again Dynamos. Bosso had last beaten Dynamos in a league encounter back in 2006 and 10 years later from the land of the Netherlands – Erol Akbay delivered the priceless win.
This afternoon, Akbay led the Bosso charges to another elusive win beating ZPC Kariba 1-0 earning Bosso their first victory over the Kariba based side.
ZPC Kariba is a team any Bosso fan will find easy to begrudge. ZPC Kariba back in 2014 ended Bosso title hopes when under Kelvin Kaindu with a 3-1 win at Hartsfield with fans subsequently turning up against their players and subsequently the end of Kaindu’s reign at the helm. the two teams then settled for 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture.
Last season ZPC Kariba beat Bosso in both matches with 2-0 and 1-0 wins. And today, the Jinx have been broken, with Bosso beating the high flying Sunday Chidzambwa coached ZPC Kariba.
Why not believe if you are a Bosso fan. Will Akbay end Highlanders’ 10 year title drought?
