The Zimbabwe Football Association ( ZIFA) is set to for a comeback despite being dissolved a few weeks back.
The Chiyangwa lead administration dissolved ZIFA and formed a new body named NAFAZ. The move was meant to give the local governing body a new start and get rid of its debt.
The decision was greeted with mixed reactions with some expressing it as a positive development while others considered its legality.
Former ZIFA employees also formed a committee to challenge the legality of the new association
Chiyangwa and his new committee had appeared confident in establishing NAFAZ as the new football governing body but after more consideration appear to be realised the made a blunder.
Soccer24 can reveal that Chiyangwa has written to the Sports and Recreation Committee(SRC) today conceding that the dissolution was flawed and indicated to the SRC that a special congress would now take place early next month to map a way forward for ZIFA.
Chiyangwa was also grilled in parliament today (Thursday) over the decision to dissolve ZIFA and the motivations behind the decision.
