Zimbabwe beat Malawi 3-0,while Guinea fell to Swaziland to ensure the Warriors qualify for their third AFCON tournament.
Speaking after the game a delighted Katsande said, “ I am very happy we managed to win, firstly we were looking at scoring an early go and that we managed, and after that it was a matter of consolidation and creating breathing space.
“We came I to this match with a lot of pressure because the fans were saying that Malawi is walk over but it’s never like that in football.
“We kept on reminding ourselves that if we are complacent we could be reminded of bad results we have had at home against teams that we were supposed to beat.
“So we kept on working hard and here we are, as a captain I am happy to lead the team to Gabon and I hope we will win our last match we want to go there undefeated added Katsande.
