Warriors skipper Willard Katsande is eligible to play the AFCON qualifier against Malawi on Sunday

The Warriors technical team has clarified to Soccer24 that Katsande had not earned three yellow cards making him eligible for Sunday’s tie.

There had speculation among fans regarding Katsande’s availability for the key match set for the National Sports Stadium.

Meanwhile the Warriors continued their preps today with two sessions held with Katsande very much part of the action and is expected to lead the Warriors come Sunday.

A win for Zimbabwe would put the Warriors onto 11 points and depending on favourable results could even seal their place at AFCON 2017.
