ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa says his desire is to see the national team succeed by producing results and he will resign if he fails to do that.
Chiyangwa was speaking during a press conference where the Warriors squad for the AFCON and Cosafa Cup qualifiers were unveiled.
“My concentration and focus is on producing results because as long as I don’t produce results as ZIFA president I will resign he said.
“If national teams continue to lose I will resign ,If I don’t you will finish me off you media guys.
We want to win because if we don’t do that I am finished he added.
Chiyangwa also revealed the national team need’s close to $500 000 for the friendly against Uganda ,the AFCON qualifier against Malawi and the COSAFA Cup.
In addition the association inherited a $6 million debt from the previous association. But despite this Chiyangwa says he is focused on taking care of immediate issues like making sure the national team squad has the money it needs.
