Mamelodi Sundowns will play in the Champions Leagues Cup group stages after AS Vita of Congo were disqualified from the competition, CAF confirmed on Tuesday.

AS Vita knocked Sundowns out of the CAF Champions League group stage qualification on away goals after a 2-2 aggregate score.

Pitso Mosimane’s side then dropped down to the CAF Confederations final rounds of qualification for the group stages but were again knocked on away goals rules.

CAF confirmed AS Vita’s disqualification on their Twitter account on Tuesday morning. Details of the disqualification will be announced in due course.
