Malawi have announced their squad to face Zimbabwe in the upcoming AFCON qualifier next month. The Warriors will take on Malawi in a Group L match on the weekend of 3-5 June at the National Sport Stadium.

Malawi’s squad is largely made up  of locally based players with some foreign based players plying their trade in the ABSA Premiership. The same squad will be used for the COSAFA Cup in June.

They are expected to start camp with weekend and will also take on Botswana in a friendly before playing Zimbabwe.

Pasuwa is yet to name his squad but is unlikely to make too many changes from the squad that beat Swaziland 4-0.

Zimbabwe currently lead the group with 8 points and win could edge Pasuwa’s side to a third AFCON appearance.
