Zimbabwean international Willard Katsande scored an own goal as Kaizer Chiefs lost to Mamelodi Sundowns in an eventful match.
Chiefs went ahead in controversial fashion with Lorenzo Gordinho putting the ball into the net with his hand instead of his head.
However Sundowns got their equaliser on the 45th minute when Khama Billiat’s free kick was headed in by Leonardo Castro.
Thabo Nthethe put Sundowns in the lead from the penalty spot in the 57th minute after Kaizer Chiefs defender Mathoho had handled.
Kaizer Chiefs were reduced to ten men when Gordinho deliberately handled again to be sent off for a second yellow.
Playing against 10 men Sundowns took the initiative and went three up with Willard Katsande turning in Billiat’s free kick in an attempt to defend.
The win puts Sundowns four clear at the top with 62 points and three games to go till the end of the season.
