The CAPS United squad has not been distracted with the off field issues of skipper Method Mwanjali and Archford Gutu according to head coach Lloyd Chitembwe.
Mwanjali is in police custody and facing attempted murder charges after a brawl where he allegedly stabbed someone while Gutu was released on bail.
They had been fears that the issue would affect the Green Machine who have taken four points from their first two games.
However Chitembwe said the players remained focused on their game against Harare City at the National Sport Stadium on Sunday.
“They (players) have been concentrating on what they are supposed to do and that is train hard.
“They know how to react to such situations as they are professional players.
The Harare City clash presents a big test for Chitembwe’s team who are expected to fight for honours this season.
CAPS United have been boosted by the availability of veteran striker Leonard Tsipa.
