CAPS United pair of Method Mwanjali and Archford Gutu are still in police custody and will appear in court tomorrow after an alleged stabbing on Saturday night.
Mwanjali in the company of Gutu allegedly stabbed an individual in the stomach twice with a knife following a disagreement. The incident reportedly took place at the Longcheng Plaza Shopping mall.
Gutu is alleged to have broken the windscreen of the individuals car. The victim underwent surgery yesterday after the stabbing and is now out of danger
CAPS United have expressed disappointment but indicated they will stand by their players.
Speaking to the Herald club spokesperson Alois Bunjira said, “As we stand by our players, we also regret the whole incident and feel sorry for all those that got hurt and wish them a speed recovery.
“We don’t condone violence. The matter will be dealt with at the club internally once the law has taken its course added Bunjira.
