Harare City registered their first league win of the season with a 4-1 victory over PSL new boys Mutare City at Rufaro Stadium.
After a balanced match for about twenty minutes the home side went into the lead through Willam Manondo’s header after a free kick from Raphael Manuvire.
Six minutes later Manondo turned provider as Manuvire added the second with a touch that beater the Mutare City keeper Mark Makunyanya.
Halftime came with Mutare City carrying trailing 2-0.
In the 56th minute James Jam made it three Makunyanya did well to save the initial shot but the ball fell kindly for Jam who scored.
However three minutes after Mutare City responded with a goal of their own with Kudakwashe finishing well to give his side a fighting chance.
However with six minute to go Jerry Chipangura ended any hopes of a comeback with a fourth for Harare City to seal the match.
The victory allows Mangwiro’s side to bounce back after losing their opener to Triangle last weekend while it’s a difficult start for Mutare City who have now conceded seven goals in the opening two games.
