The Mighty Warriors drew 1-1 with Tanzania to progress to the next round of the 2016 African Women’s Championship qualifiers on a 3-2 aggregate scoreline.

The Senior Women National team thrilled a sizable crowd that attended the match at Rufaro Stadium with some enterprising play throughout the field.

The Twiga Stars stunned the Zimbabwean ladies with just 5minutes of playing taking the lead from the penalty spot but Daisy Kaitano equalized just immediately with a powerful shot from inside the box.

Tanzania did try to put pressure as the match progressed but the Mighty Warriors held on to the draw and having beaten Tanzania 2-1 in the first leg, they progress to the final qualifier where they face Zambia.

Zambia drew 2-2 with Namibia but progressed on 5-3 aggregate victory after having won 3-1 in the first leg.
